On this day, 16th August 1940
August 16 1940, mass Ju-87 Stuka dive bomber attacks on Tangmere, Ventnor Chain Home station, and HMS Daedaulus airfield (now Solent Airport) where two Bellman transportable aeroplane sheds were destroyed.
