Channel Airways Comets

In addition to the "Bulb Field" trips Clarksons also operated a similar, if somewhat smaller programme to Paris, using Beauvais as the arrival airport of choice. If I recall correctly they were sold as "Paris in the Spring" or words to that effect, and I suspect included in the programme would have been a trip to Monet's garden.
British Midland certainly operated flights to BVA from BHX and EMA, alongside the RTM operation, the operational period being similar to, if not exactly the same as the Bulb Fields, and I am pretty sure that Channel used their Viscounts in a similar way.

As a young lad my first flight was on a Channel Viscount to Rotterdam from Southend on a Clarksons 'Bulb Field' weekend.
Clarksons also did a 4 day wine tasting trip to the Rhine Valley via Luxembourg using Autair, we went in 1969 out on a 1-11 and back on an Ambassador. But thats another story.
