612 (County of Aberdeen) Squadron
Aberdeen was also the home of the Gordon Highlanders. One of the the Gordon tartans is probably the pattern.

The book 'Fighter Squadrons of the RAF' by JDR Rawlings gives "This was perpetuated on its Vampires and although an official colour insignia was approved comprising a tartan design in green , blue and white , there is no record that the squadron's aircraft ever carried it ."
In 'Squadron Histories' by Peter Lewis , Putnam , 1959 , 30s , a coloured illustration for a Vampire FB5 gives green rectangles either side of the roundel with two rows of 5 blue squares per rectangle with each square divided by a white line . The Meteor photo above shows only 4 squares on each rectangle .
Best I can do , good luck !

Can’t find any reference to 612 Sqn operating Meteors on active “duty” so this could be the markings of another “hack/comms” aircraft yet to be painted. Problem is 208 came from 611 which had triangular patterns....
As has been said above 612 has green background with 2 rows 10 blue rectangles alternatively spaced with thin and thick green stripes...

Whose are the Sabres behind?
