Auster J5 - first flight in 25 years
I wasn't sure whether this video should be posted here or in Private Flying, but it definitely deserved a wider audience.
A friend in New Plymouth sent it to me. It shows his brother test flying an Auster J5 ZK-BDW, which hadn't flown for 25 years. Posted with my friend's permission - it's his voice on the video.

There are a surprising number of British rarities in the Antipodes such as this Auster, various Moths, Chipmunks and Percivals. Such a shame that the British light aircraft couldn't follow through, with perhaps the notable exception of the Pup. It is slightly ironic as I have an NZ-built Airtourer here in the UK (and I love it).
