Mike Jerram, RIP

Very sad to see that the death of Pilot contributing editor Mike Jerram was announced on the magazine's website last week. A long time member of the Pilot team, his almost unbroken written and photographic contribution to the magazine across 47 years - and to other publications as well as a number of books - always enjoyed high standards and, more often than not, high humour too.

His contributions here - all too infrequent in recent years - underlined a fascination with aviation and its characters, in particular finding focus on vintage aircraft. I greatly enjoyed his articles that I've been lucky enough to read over the years and the exchanges on this forum, particularly on the Rothmans thread.

Thanks Mike, I will raise a glass to you later in the week.
