Vulcan Long Shot Qustion?
Have got a bit of a long shot question here for anyone with a good memory! In the 1970's I used to live near the flight path of RAF Waddington and every sunday more or less a Vulcan would take off from RAF Waddington around 10.00 northbound climbing high on transit to somewhere any ideas anyone?

I hope so!! with seeing these flights that were taking place nearly every sunday, it has always cropped up in my mind as to where these flights were going.

My response could have elicited further information.

Which the OP failed to mention.
A 1000hrs take off would have meant getting in for flight planning at 0630. On a Sunday mroning?! Every Sunday morning?! That would have called for strike action. You may be confusing it with the dreaded 8 o'clock slot on a Monday, on which huge importance was placed.
