RAF HENDON MUSEUM SHOP.
Morning All
Sometime ago I visited RAF Hendon Museum which was very good and interesting, the only drawback was the size of the shop considering the size of the museum itself, this I found was very poor with not much choice in the terms of aviation. RAF Cosford has a great shop and Newark Air Museum is very good.

It's a few years since I've been to any but as I remember the Hendon shop was pretty good as is Newark.
The Cosford shop used to be excellent but the last time I went it had been crammed in a small corner of the joke new building and wasn't a patch on what it was.

Back in the 90s Hendon shop used to have a great range of posters; I bought one that showed all RAF squadron crests, lost it over the years and never found a replacement
They also had issues of BARG Roundel magazine!

For many years RAFM Hendom failed the first rule* of museums, in that it was possible for a visitor to enter, look around and leave the museum without ever knowing there was a museum shop.
* Every member of the public should enter and/or leave through the museum shop.
