Since the demise of the Royal Mail flights out of Newcastle at the end of March 2017, I'm putting together an article on the history of the Air Mail flights from the airport and in particular the Gill Air/Gill Airways operations which were quite extensive. Although I have a fair raft of information from working on the ground based operation out of Newcastle, I'm struggling to pin-point the start-up dates of the Datapost related flights from Newcastle to Manchester and Luton. Any ex Gill out there, that could shed 'pardon the pun' a bit of light on the subject circa 1987/1988?
