Odd it has not been mentioned on BBC News - but then maybe we must not annoy the Japanese, and the US probably now has a potentially bigger problem........the President-Elect

I didn't hear it on the BBC Radio News bulletins either but, to be fair to the Radio 4's Today programme:

BBC Radio 4 - Today, 07/12/2016

President Roosevelt's iconic phrase starts at 02:54:00

Not forgetting the Japanese attacked Malaya a few hours before Pearl Harbour.

And on the 19th Feb 1942 the Japanese Pearl Harbor fleet expended more ordnance on Darwin than they had at PH.

Ah, now I see: TV News. So often, the pictures are better on the wireless.

The videos are better on the wireless too. I hate being forced to watch, including an ad, when I just want to read a piece of information. I give the BBC 2 out of 10 for their judgement here.

What really tees me off is the affectation where as a news item is read, there is a flash of some seemingly relevant clip, eg - "forging ahead" - picture of train, "rough water ahead for the Government" - raging sea, etc . I must be getting old and grumpy
