Vulcan XA897 60th anniversary 1 Oct 2016

(Copied from Facebook)
Short service at Heathrow Airport's St Georges Chapel between 1045hrs and 1115hrs on Sat 1 Oct to help honour 3 RAF personnel and 1 member of the Avro company who were on board XA897, one of the first RAF Vulcan Bombers, that was coming into land after a Round the World Trip.
St Georges Chapel, Heathrow Airport is very close to the Bus Station, car parking at T2 and T3 & obviously Tube and Train also close by.
There will be members of the crews family attending to mark what is the 60th Anniversary of the Crash.

There were of course five RAF personnel and one civilian on board the Vulcan, the two cockpit crew ejected and survived.
