The 75% Scale Replica Mosquito
For those of us in SW France, an Open Day is to be held on 4 June between 0900 and 1800 at the aerodrome at 85200 FONTENAY-LE-COMTE to see how the Mosquito repairs are proceeding after its crash on 6 August 2015 following the memorial ceremony at JONZAC. All are welcome. There will be gifts to buy and food. So do please support the day if you can.
Nice, but in NZ they build real ones...!
Not a very good photo, but it is special for me - those are my knees!
By the way, what was the outcome of the 3/4 French Mosquito flying through the Solent area without so much as a "Vive La France" and the amazing offer of the RN Historic Flight Sea Fury to formate upon the intruder?
I would imagine that the unannounced appearance of a 4/4 Sea Fury on my wingtip might just have got my attention.

Dunno, you could as FFAA or RNHF. It went on to win a major award at the LAA Rally that year, but missed the Cranwell Flying Club do that an old school friend and had been working towards as they had a major tech problem on one of the engines.
Saw the aeroplane today and the wing is done and on the wheels but major work in hand (and fund raising), to rebuild the fuselage. Several historics there from Niort, an N-reg WACO and an ex RAF Chippie as well, plus an aeroplane I did not recognise, looked like a scaled down Emeraude, if such was possible.

Are you referring to its 2013 visit to the UK, JW411? If so, I was told, prior to that visit, that it was due to fly from Fontenay to Cherbourg or Abbeville and from there to Humberside. If it transitted via Cherbourg, it might have passed over the Solent en route to Humberside. But I doubt that it would have done so if it had used Abbeville. And no, unfortunately I didn't manage a vist to Fontenay today but I'll probably make a visit soon.
