Vickers shadow factory Blackpool
My (deceased) father, Frank Lancaster, worked at the Vickers shadow factory in Blackpool during the Second World War. I am interested in finding information about the factory. Can anyone let me know where I could find such information - perhaps a link to a website, perhaps a book, perhaps a journal article?
I would also be interested in knowing where the employment records might now be; I have contacted Brooklands, but they are not there.
Many thanks
David Lancaster

I think it is unlikely that employment records exist.

As Chiarain says it's probably unlikely that personnel records still exist. Still, as it was a Vickers factory (as was Chester) it might be worth trying BAe - maybe the pensions office who might be able to advise if the records still exist.
Good luck
