B-17 query

I've been researching the story of the crew who flew a certain B-17 - serial number 42-3539.. "Michigan Air Force".
Is there a master register of B-17s that will confirm which model this airframe was? A B-17F or G?
I'm aware of this site but unfortunately it doesn't specify which model that particular serial number was.
Many thanks..

42-3543 was a Douglas-built B-17F later converted to an airliner by SAAB - 42-3539 would be part of the same batch.
