Hurricane Commemorative cover
I was wondering if someone could help me out with this. The Jodel registration given on this cover (G-BLRT) is actually a Short 360. Does anyone recall this flight at all?

Possibly a classic philatelic flying cover transcribing error. The letter J can be mistaken for a T.
A Jodel DR.1051 c/n 521 was originally registered in France as F-BLRT. As DaveReidUK indicates, a Jodel DR.1051 c/n 502, registered G-BLRJ was piloted by Mike Hallam on the commemorative flight of 7 May, 1988.
Here is a brief history of Jodel c/n 502: ex F-BLRJ, G-BFRJ, G-BLRJ. Powered by Potez 4E20A no 9254. Last owned and crashed by Mike Hallam in 1998. This info supplied 6 August 2000 by Dave Thomas, who bought the wreck to use some parts on his replica of a DR.200 (G-DAST, s/n 871). The other structural remains are now owned by Dave Shipton of Peterborough, UK. 16 July 2001: First registered in the UK on 08 Feb 1978. CofA expired 17 Jul 2000. Total Hours: 1695. Engine: Potez 4E20.

re: G-BFRJ vs. G-BLRJ confusion; there is no logical reason for a change in the registration, so it is just probably another typo. I thought it looked iffy..
Prototype Hawker Hurricane K5083 prior to her first flight at Brooklands 6 November 1935: (note the large fixed-pitch airscrew, lack of armament and the absence of hard points) She went like the wind at 9,000 feet..

I've been a bit suspicious of commemorative/first day covers ever since some years ago I came across one I was supposed to have flown - my name was in the crew details. I'd done one or two but couldn't remember this particular one and sure enough on checking my logbook I was elsewhere flying a different type that day.........
As a collector of these types of covers I can confirm that typo's and misprints, particularly of aircraft registrations are quite common. I wouldn't let it stop you bidding as all these particular covers will likely be the same.
