Smile Heads Up Re FutureLearn RAF History

Hi folks as a U3A history group leader I was recently introduced to FutureLearn an OU derivative offering FREE short courses of between 3 and 8 weeks duration. Current offerings include The Development of fighter Aircraft in WW1 and RAF history 1945 to the present day. Both are supported by Hendon staff.

The courses are university level and need between 3 and 5 hours study per week. there is no obligation to continue if you find the going too heavy but it seems a jolly way of advancing ones knowledge.

MOOC's is the buzzword for these courses Massive ONline Open Courses
Hope I'm not teaching anyone to suck eggs here but until told about them I was wholly unaware

So, for 3-8 weeks doing 3-5 hours study a week i.e. (9- 40 hours max) one can learn about the development of "Fighter" Aircraft in the First World War.
It's very interesting and I am honestly intrigued , but to what end regarding supporting any recognized qualification ?
Do you have any further details regarding the course objectives and standards required by the syllabus?
Do please PM me if you have any specific information.
