DRAGON RAPIDE NEWS

Should anybody reading this have any bright ideas about a
possible source of funding for a flight from Melbourne to Sydney,
a reenactent of the July 1914 airmail carrying flight by Maurice Guillaux in his Bleriot,
please PM me ASAP. This was the first such carriage of airmail in Australia.

The Shell Company has just withdrawn its sponsorship, leaving
the organisers of the centenary celebrations in the lurch. The Rapide was
to be the star starter for the reenactment, but now looks unlikely
to be involved . .. . . . unless . . .. . so anyone in touch with an Australian aviation fairy god-mother or father could render a great service. . . . . but
there's only thirteen days left to go before kick-off.
