What was the average Flght Time from Blackbushe to Malta by a fully loaded York in 1952. ?

What's the Rush?

If this is of any help:
My dad flew back to UK in a York, from India, in November 1945. Last leg was from Luqa to Holmsley South (New Forest) and he logged it as 7.00 hours.

Lyneham to Luqa

My log book tells me one of the last RAF York schedules to Singapore began
with 6hr 45min. September 1950.

I did Luqa to Kinloss in a C130 with a stack of Nimrod torpedo's for company, that was something like 7 hours.

But it would be a little quicker to Malta than from Malta ..... Cos it's downhill

No. it's downhill northwards - the polar diameter is less than the equatorial diameter, by about 42 km.
