Omani Jags retiring

The last flights for Jaguars in Oman are scheduled for 23 July 2014, at Thumrait of course. 37 years sterling service!!

It had to happen! (Same as the Hunters) They have both given excellent service in Oman and I know that they are held in great affection by the Omani pilots (and Brits.) who flew them. However, better (more modern?) jets have come along! Progress, (but I still have some great memories, and pics. of the "old" days)!

Incidentally,

They were re winged quite a few years ago with the wings from the RAF ones at Cosford as they were life ex FI wise.
