Heathrow window art
Hi Folks,
Back in the sixties (?) the windows of one of Heathrow's terminals were painted or stained to depict views of the British countryside as seen from the air. One of the panels is seen here behind Jimmi Hendrix's head.
Does anybody have colour photos of these panels?
Can anybody tell me who painted them?
Are they depicted on any web site?
Are they still there?
If so, which terminal is it?
If not, where have they gone?
How many panels were/are there?
Thanks in advance for any relevant information, especially colour photos.
Yours, Bob

I have been told that they were along the front of Terminal 3 'Oceanic', which opened in November 1964. There appear to be sixteen panels.
Can anybody tell me anything more?
The artist?
Where are they now?

There is a brief glimpse of them (in colour) in the opening shots of this film:
Stock Footage - London Heathrow Airport Oceanic terminal. The Port of London, with freighters and cranes.
BTW, the Oceanic Building opened in November 1961.
