Name the Airfield

I have recently come across this photograph of two Rapides parked in front of an airport terminal building. Does anyone recognise the location?

there is a photo of G-ALPK on airliners.net.
this photo legend may help you...
G-ALPK (cn 6757) Air Taxi, based at Carlisle, existed from 1954 until closure in April 1961. This Rapide was their only aircraft. It is seen wearing the colour scheme of its previous owners, Lancashire Aircraft Corporation.

Just a thought, possibly a race course rather than an airfield?

Newcastle, Woolsington - The building was the old flying club/terminal. It was only demolished a couple of years ago because of asbestos!

I am greatly indebted to you; I think you've got it.

I did wonder about the racetrack idea. In fact, one of our old customers was Lord Rosebury.
