Post-WW2 Prestwick

Can anyone assist John F Crow of NY with the following?

My father was stationed in Prestwick during WWII, with the US Army Air
Corps. He returned in '45-'49 as part of a commercial airline, possibly
Capitol Air. I lived in Prestwick in 1947, when I was 4 years old.

I am hoping to find information about the Americans that returned to Prestwick after the war. Any information, archives, or other sources would be most appreciated.

Check this website out with ref to Prestwick, you may find this as a start point!
There is also a World festival of Flight celebrating 70 years of Aviation with Prestwick ..http://www.facebook.com/pages/Prestw...98283213600901

The RAFA (Royal Air Force Association ) has a museum that may have information on postwar aviation !

This website is quite interesting as well as you may find information from the organization who may be able to point you in the right direction!
