7 Aug 1935 Crash of SM.66

A30yoyo,

i just stumbled across the thread about the 1939(?) S.73 crash and wanted to say thank you for posting, and secondly to ask whether you know anything about the crash mentioned in the subject line? The sources I have seen indicate it was an SM.66 and the aircraft departed from the airfield Guigardo (?) north of Rome and made an interim stop at Cairo before its last fatal flight. Seven people including the fascist minister of public works were killed when the aircraft fell about 15 km south of Cairo.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

K
