PigBoat...yup...but someone beat me to it...A nord converted to pratt and whitney engines later called the Mohawk conversion. I was original USAIR (still am) hired in 88. Very proud of the original USAIR. It was three years before I ever saw an MEL sticker on one of our DC9's...they took really good care of everything...company MX at every RON. things changed when we had to compete with the cheapos. Still a good place with good folkx (at least on the east side...don't know the westies too well).
I flew that Jetstream with tthe turbomecca Astazou engines...by the way, all those funny names from turbomecca were famous mountain peaks in europe.

Hi guys, we did all our F-27 initial and recurrent for 25 years at the contract training center in PIT. Made a load of good friends. Always travelled space positive and most of the time got upgrades to first if available. Happy days. Piedmont did the wing pull on our F-27 also. Really neat taxiing across North Liberty Ave. in INT. Merry Christmas fellas.
Of equal interest may be the least aircraft built and delivered for the civil market. It is more difficult to get the numbers for this but the Marathon 44 but 28 military, Vanguard 44 and VC-10 54 – but 14 for the military must be up there.
Worldwide, the Potez 840 = 7, Mercure = 12 and VFW614 = 19 must be among the least built – any other ideas?

We pax were walked from the terminal to the a/c and I've got to admit I thought it looked a little odd!
