Story from Winnipeg Free Press.

One small lcorrection. I believe Mingan wasn't part of the Crimson Route. That route was further north. The American 'southern' transport route staged Presqu'Ile - Mingan - Goose Bay and the Canadian route staged via Sept-Iles - Goose Bay. Mingan is 80 sm east of Sept-Iles.
