Ashley Walk Range (New Forest)

A programme on BBC1 South at 1035 tonight about Ashley Walk Range, including testing of Tallboy and Grand Slam. Possibly also the Upkeep weapon.

Cunningly hidden in a programme about New Forest history, but some shots of the range, and the Grand Slam crater, and also some footage of East Boldre airfield, opened in 1910, and one of the earliest flying sites in UK. Could have made more of Beaulieu arfield as well, the base for the Airborne Forces Experimental Establishment for several years.
