Brawdy TWU Wing Commander, 1975?
Hello
Could anyone help with this query?
On behalf of one of my friends I am looking for some information on a Wing Commander that served with the RAF Hunter Squadrons at RAF Brawdy in 1975.
The officer in question put a pennant on 'his' Hunter aircraft, which was probably F.6A XF516, coded 19 with TWU in 234 Sqn colours.
This aircraft is still airworthy today and is based at Exeter with Classic Jets (http://www.classicjets.co.uk/hunderdt/xf516.html)
Can any list members provide any leads on this RAF officer?
Thanks for your time
Best wishes
Mark Russell

Was that Wg Cdr Neal? He was OC Ops Wg in '76 and perhaps in '75 as well? TWU Hunter sqns were commanded by Sqn Ldrs, OC 234 was Sqn Ldr Eastwood at that time.
Seems I only had 2 trips in XF516 - once doing 'WG3' (strafe) at Pembrey and another trip (ACM - aka 'doggers') in the hot hazy summer of '76 when I lost all radio and had to come back on another guy's wing..
