Nah, I still don't buy it...... Check 16501, the USAF Beaver that is still preserved in Dayton but is shown as a twin! Also the hangar shot has the name photoshoped on to it!!! i really don't have more time to waste on this ....
What is the likelihood of any German having the surname of 'Zwillingsbiber' - German for 'twin beavers'?
Or airlines named 'Fowl-Aire Airways' and 'DuM Airways'?
Or an 'RAF pilot' by the name of 'Squadron Leader B. F. Twatt, DFC and Bar'?
Or 'Lac Beegfishinapan, Quebec', 'S'tukinnamuk, Northwest Territories' and 'Lac Ladouche'?
Rather a tedious compilation, lacking the subtelty to be a good April Fool story to all except the seriously dimwitted.

My long-time colleague has left specific instructions that his ashes be carried aloft in a R-985 Beaver floatplane, and scattered over his favorite body of water. Who could quarrel with that?

The author of that spoof did a fair job with Photoshop. Here's the original.
