Spitfire on the motorway!!!

Eastbound on the m4 at 1.30, I spotted an odd sight - going westbound was an early ww2 fighter on a trailer, with it's wings stacked beside it! From my brief glimpse, it appeared to be a mk1 spit with flat canopy, 2 bladed prop and plain sideways exiting exhausts without rearward facing stubs.

Anyone know what this plane was, and where it was headed?

Could it be the ex-Clive du Cros prototype replica?

srobarts - that's the one, or as near as dammit because I doubt there are 2 that travel like that!

I wonder where it was headed?

Spitfire on the motorway!!!

Sounds like it's my replica "Spit" that I built with those exhausts.
