QRA

Have been reading Flypast and the article's about the Lightning and Vulcan and QRA alert.

Did the airfields set up for QRA operations have the shelters at each end of the operational runway for into wind departures?

When QRA operations were happening how did the military ATC and Civil ATC co-ordinate for traffic seperation?

What sought of instrument approach would the aircraft use for an instrument letdown on return, ILS or GCA?

How would one fill in time while strapped into a vulcan for five hours on a cold winters night?
