Kuala Lumpur - 1960 Cessna 310
One of my father's scrapbooks contains an invitation to him from the 'Directors of Anglo-American Corporation (Malaya) Ltd.' to witness demonstration flights of the '1960 Twin Engine Cessna 310-D Aircraft on Sunday 20th March 1960 at the Kuala Lumpur Flying Club'. The aircraft commander was to be Dallas W. Cederberg.
I was taken along for the ride, which I have never forgotten and which was to be the turning point of my life at the tender age of 8. It gave me the inspiration to become a pilot; I qualified as such 9 years later and flying has been my livelihood ever since.
My father wrote on the invitation after the event: 'David flew along with the Minister, his 2 sons and me. The aeroplane was painted a dashing red and yellow'.
Can anyone shed any light on the origins of this flight, or the aircraft commander? It's a long shot...

Hello Whirlwind,
I'm not sure if you will be seeing this but just in case you do. Dallas W. Cederberg was my wife's father who sadly paased away 8 months before I met my wife in 1980. He passed away in his sleep at the age of 54, Jan. 1980.
My wife's family have passed on many interesting stories about Mr. Cederberg, from his days as a young pilot in the Army, owning his own airllines, working for Cessna and later as Managing Director for Southeast Asia for Lockheed.
He was an awesome, kind and friendly man who is missed and although I had never met him, I too miss him.
Regards,
Mike G.
