Trans Canada Speed Record

I am trying to find out if the CF-100 ever held this record, have tried various combinations of questions on Google without success.

If the answer is affirmative, I am particularly intererested in the names of the crews.
Any help would be appreciated.

Henry, best I can find is the Canadair Sabre 6 record by Chick Childerhose and Ralph Annis in `56, Vancover-Gimli-Halifax in 5hrs, from ` Wild Blue` his book about life as an RCAF fighter pilot. An excellent read,if you can get it..
Google is not helpful, but you might find a little under `Museum of Flight,Canadair Cl-13b,Sabre 6`.

Don't know if they're still active, but you could try the Canadian All Weather Fighter Association. [email protected]
Bet they'd know. One of them probably flew it if anyone did.
Can also highly recommend 'Wild Blue'

Good luck, my copy of 'Wild Blue' says the record was previously held by a Canadian Navy T-bird, if that helps.
You might also try the main branch of the RAeS at Montreal,
via Royal Aeronautical Society - Montreal Branch
