Not a wreck,Graeme. I shall try and dig out another somewhat larger photograph, if I can possibly do so. The aircraft is European.
Another excellent sketch,Graeme.

I'm more than happy to go with what you have mate, but I'm just having a bit of trouble with the orientation.

Is it maybe a turboprop exhaust?
And is that a wing on the right side?

Many thanks for the new photograph,Graeme. Here is a new effort
No 3G HAS,Harley Quinn. The aircraft was in flight when the picture was taken.

Good morning SD

Coffee time and chance for a quick look! I think it's the SIPA S.500 Vedette ??

Regret that it'll have to be OH if correct as I'm in the workshop for much of the rest of the day and have to walk the dog at lunch time!

Interesting.

So the intake is quite accurate, based on the SIPA.300?

That is the one,SincoTC,the Sipa Vedette, although the original (small) photograph was of the Sipa 300. I did not intend to muddy the waters!

Thanks SD,

That illustration of the Vedette does look a little optimistic, when you look at the size of the pilot giving scale to the small diameter of the fuselage, and then the number and position of the windows relative to the wing-spars, one wonders what they were thinking of

Seems like there's not too many players about this weekend so I'll take my OH back and put something up for any lurkers out there!

The A-90 Orlyonok (Eaglet) is a Soviet "ekranoplan" - a ground effect vehicle - that was designed by Rostislav Evgenievich Alexeev (1916-1980) of the Central Hydrofoil Design Bureau.
The A-90 uses ground effect to fly a few meters above the surface. The Russians classify it as Ekranoplan Class B - it can achieve an altitude of 3,000 m (9,800 ft), placing between Class A - which is limited to ground effect, and Class C, which exploits the ground effect only during take-offs and landings.
