If you are near Metheringham Airfield Visitor Centre on a Saturday you might do worse than to call in, meet the XS186 CREW, and witness our Jet Provost being run up / taxied around. Drop in, have a cuppa, talk aeroplanes.....

Check out the Aviation Heritage Lincolnshire website at Aviation Home - Aviation It lists a lot of the sites you can visit.
Digby Ops Room museum is well worth a visit. The 'Just Jane' taxi run at East Kirkby on Saturdays & Wednesdays are recommended, but the centre doesn't open on Sundays. Thorpe Camp is a real gem but isn't open everyday.
Scampton & Waddington have heritage centres but you need to book in advance. There is also the Cranwell Aviation Heritage Centre at Heath Farm North Rauceby. Wickenby has a good little museum in the Watch Tower.
Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre has tours of the hangar, but does not open at the week-end.
Enjoy your visit
