Hi I am wondering if there are[ANY BOOKS] relating to experiences in WW2 service with this Aircraft ??? (air or ground crew)

You might also want to have a look at recent back numbers of FlyPast which ran a feature on the Whirlwind. I do not have a copy (I pass my FlyPasts on to Ye Ancient Spitfire Pilot now aged 86) but I THINK it was within the last 12 months.

Cool Whirlwind books.

Westland Whirlwind by Bruce Robertson contains detailed description and fate of all 114 aircraft produced. Kookaburra Technical Publications

The Westland Whirlwind Profile Publications number 191.

Whirlwind the fighter.by Victor BinghamAirlife publications ISBN I 853100048

These could be a start for you there are lot sof details,photo's video etc in our library.
