Faro 1992 accident pilot error
Harry Horlings claims the crash which took 56 lives in 1992 on landing in Faro was due to pilot error.

Frankly speaking,I cannot find anything 'nostalgic' in this disaster. So more, when it looks like the old 'Raad voor de Luchtvaart' - a typical old boys network society - seems to have hold back valuable evidence for the next of kin, if not deliberately slipping Martin Air off the hook.
In the marine world, there is something like 'seamanship' the fact(s) that one engine possibly had packed up or caught fire whilst the tailengine was damaged as well, and the following denials that any fire in the engine had been occurred, is something that has to be investigated.
I think this issue, although not thet recent, is more for the 'rumours' item. There are the hard-boiled pilots who knew this DC-10 inside and out.
