A Caproni according to this.
Alexandria Harbour in Egypt Very soupy. Aircraft contains pilot's headgear still and wing still contains machine gun and ammo (port side only). Fairly certain aircraft is a Caproni 313/314, having measured length and wingspan. Has glass cockpit similar to He 111. Skin is canvas strteched over frame. Gun in left wing only. Very murky, only 5m, but interesting dive.

In the recent ITV series "Trevor MacDonald's Secret Mediterranean" they were diving on Cleopatra's palace when they came across the wreckage of the Beaufort - and from the shape of the canopy framing it was definitely a Beaufort.

There was a very brief view of a relic on the harbour floor in Trev McDonut's prog last week, and the type that occured to me from what I saw, i.e. narrow fuselage, twin fins, etc. was the Hampden.
