Double Shackleton collision 11 Jan 1955
When researching something else, I came across this incident which I had never heard about :
ASN Aircraft accident Avro Shackleton MR.2 WL743 Fastnet Rock, Ireland
It involved the disappearance of 2 Shackletons near Fastnet which were never found and were presumed to have collided, with the combined loss of 18. I wonder if there is anyone here who might have more knowledge of this shocking event. I suppose some of the military forum people may know more, but I am always reluctant to intrude over there. Thank you.
