Aerospace Bristol | Open now & ready for boarding

It only opened recently. Most of the posts above are from 7 years ago.

The only Concorde I ever got in was the heat cycle test fuselage at (definitely) Farnborough. I think it was in 1961 when I was visiting the Institute of Aviation Medicine.

Don't know what happened to that one. They removed it from the purpose built building so as to make room for the National Space Centre which never used it and then the building was demolished when they built Cody Site.

I remember something that looked like a large part of an old and dirty Concorde being sat next to the road at Filton in the mid 1980s
Me too, but I think it was on the north side, near Palm Beach or near the tower.

It was 202 and during my fist term on BUAS was still flying. It was quite interesting being in the Visual Circuit with Concorde in a Bulldog!

In 1982 (IIRC) it was bagged up in a silver preservative 'bag' and sat on the N side pan opposite the Tower and the BUAS building (what became the air ambulance / Police rescue helicopter buiding).
