Recovered Sturmovik?
Anybody know anything about the Sturmovik parts recovered from a swamp in the Demyansk region of Russia last April? Found were the engine, some cockpit instruments, parts of the fuselage and the remains of the pilot.
I can't believe anybody is going to "restore" the airplane, since everything I saw photos of were a mess...can't find anything further on the Web.

Another Russian recovery
Reminds me of the Il2 fighter-bomber I saw recently in the Borderlands museum in Kirkenes, northern Norway, at the end of the Hurtigruten ferry route. It was shot down by the Germans and ended up at the bottom of a lake near Kirkenes before being recovered and restored by the Russians and then donated to Norway. Slightly off topic, but the Hurtigruten ferry also stops at Bodo, which has a hidden jewel of an air museum - highly recommended.
