Boeing Tearing Down Plant 2

Boeing will be tearing down Plant 2 this autumn, 75 years after the first section was opened. It first produced the B-17, then B-29, B-47 and B-52. The first 737s came from that building.

Plant 2 was so critical that Boeing camouflaged its roof with faux streets and houses of fabric and plywood, making it nearly vanish into nearby neighborhoods.
Fascinating...I've read they even had a cow grazing on "real" grass on the rooftop village.
