Ditched Lancaster
My local newspaper includes a feature of extracts of news items from long ago.
One of this week's subjects includes the complaint by fishermen of 1946 that a Lancaster that ditched in 1944 opposite Heene road, Worthing was snagging their fishing nets.
Does anyone know the history of this aircraft and whether it was subsequently recovered ?
