A very very late Spring Duxford Airshow.

Having moved house recently I'm still playing catch up with all of my airshow photos.

Here's my selection from May.

Thanks Splash,

Most were taken with a Nikon D300 with a Nikon 300mm telephoto with 1.4 converter. Ground shots were taken with a Nikon 18-200mm Zoom.

Can I ask what ISO and speed setting you used? There is remarkably little graining and noise.....

Nice job.

I try to always use the slowest ISO possible in this case 100. All were taken in RAW and then converted.

Excellent stuff, presumably using a tripod given that you have captured sharp planes with good prop blur.

I keep meaning to ask (and have finally gotten around to it) - what is the significance of the yellow and black checkerboard paint around the Memphis Belle / Sally B's starboard inner engine cowling?

Unit designation?

For the story on the Sally B chequered cowling, you need to read the story of Ted White.

Excellent. Brilliant weather forecast for Legends this week-end.For those who have never been to Flying Legends, record the Grand Prix, miss the football, don't miss this superb event.

Hi Splash,

No tripod was used, just try to hold as steady as I can or pan as smoothly as possible with moving subjects. The slower the shutter speed the higher the failure rate.

Looking forward to Legends.
