Question RAF Acklington. Memories?

Chap in Northumberland runs an excellent local history web site for Amble and District. He’s keen to include any photographs of RAF Acklington, any period. Perhaps the best way, if anyone has pictures, is to post them here with details and he can copy and transfer. Acklington was my first station in 1961, but I don’t have a single thing to show for it. Come to think of it, as Acklington was closed down in ’68 I suppose this is all a long shot.

Main site is at Amble Northumberland and Surrounding Districts.

Scroll down to aircraft below, one Harry Broadhurst has a mention;

Ships and Aircraft lost in the Amble - Coquet Island Area.

Here’s hoping.
