banderkt7. Welcome to PPRuNe. If you are interested in aircraft that provided a transport function, as opposed to transport Types, you might want to look at the Shackleton. Shackletons of 206 Sqn transported elements 16 Parachute Brigade from England (Blackbush) to Cyprus (Operation, although coded as an exercise, ENCOMPASS). There was an onward movement to Mafraq, in Jordan. Shackletons, principally of 204 and 228 Sqns, later recovered 1 and 3 Btns Parachute Regiment and HQ 16 Parachute Brigade back to UK.
