First commercial flights to Africa

Hi all,

I am interested in reading about the first commercial flights from Europe to Africa. Must have been a fascinating period of aviation history. I can't find any books relating to this.

Any books you would suggest?

Thanks !

The Time Shrinkers by David Jones 1971 is a history of British pioneer flights and early airlines to Africa, published by David Rendel. I have a spare copy , please contact via PM or Email for details.

For the French there are the works of Antoine de St Exupery based on his experiences flying with Aeropostale - Wind Sand & Stars and the fictionalised Southern Mail .Both were in paperback in the Penguin Modern Classics Series.
