New book"Cold War Shield" Roger Lindsay

I have to say that anybody connected with RAF Fighter Squadrons particularly Meteors in the fifties will find this book engrossing. Other types covered are the Hornet,Tempest ,Mosquito and Spitfire. It is 400 pages with 800 photographs, nice colour side profiles of the aircraft and squadron badges. At £40 it is well worth it, a masterpiece. Volume 2 will be published in the future covering the Vampire/Venom,Sabre,Swift Hunter,Javelin and Lightning up to 1960. Roger Lindsay is a well known author for his Javelin ,Venom and Lightning monographs.
My father was a Meteor pilot on Nos.74 & 92 Squadrons and it has answered alot of questions cross checking with his log books. Do try and get to view a copy you will not be disappointed.
