Ummm. I'm not sure I can take this on face value.
There seems to be a definate positive rotation and all this talk about the co opening "the" throttle. So close it then!
What is being described as a taxi run is in fact a high power run to V speeds and beyond. Interesting vid though.

The SOPs on the Victor were for the non handling pilot to handle the throttles..............no idea why, maybe a hangover from the flight eng holding the "Go" levers to the fire wall in a Lanc?
I never understood why especially when doing in flight refuelling you handled the throttles yourself so why not on take off and approach.
The Vid is very interesting as it clearly shows that the flaps are at the take off setting, why would you do that for a taxi run?
That said thought it hilarious seeing the camera team nearly being blown away as the beast started to roll.
