QRA Open Day 26th July 2009

The Lightning Preservation Group are holding a 21st Anniversary open day this Sunday


Thank you for your continued support and we hope you enjoy your day
We have a full and varied programme planned and would like to thank the following for their support: The Walton family (airfield owners), ATC (Burton-on-Trent Squadron), Roger Wintle & Clive Davies (Canberra), Guy Hulme (Buccaneer), Nev Martin & Malcolm Bent (Jet Provost), Charles Hilditch (Iskra), John Callaghan (Fire Cover), Nev Martin & David Walton (Hunter), John Fletcher (PA System), Geoffrey Pool (Commentary), Charles Ross (The Lightning Association), Anglo American Lightning Organisation.

Events on the day are thus:

Glad we can bring some memories back

Here it is back in May 09




And just last week after the cladding lads had finished fitting the cladding over and across the top of the doors,
Winter/Spring 09's funding target



Next stage is the sides, which hopefully we can get fitted if this Sunday goes to plan and we get some more cash in the 'pot'

Sorry can't make it and hope all goes to plan!

Hope you are not planning sleep-overs for Lightning Mate! I seem to remember he had smelly feet and snored a lot!!
