RAF solo display aircraft
Can someone please tell me when the RAF went over to using dedicated aircraft types, such as the Jet Provost, Tornado, Chinook, Tutor, etc., on the airshow circuit? This was obviously in response to the disbandment of the Jet Provost formation aerobatic teams in the early 1970s following the fuel crisis but it would be interesting to learn more of the background to the MoD's decision. Thank you in advance.

Could it have anything to do with the formation of the Yellowjacks in 1963.
