It looks like Aeroporto Militare Luigi Bourlot on the lake north of Rome where the Italian Air Force Museum is. The museum is well worth a visit anyway.

Not Edge Hill.
The grass runway in current use is the SW end of the former main (concrete?) runway. It is home to just a couple of light aircraft.
I walked my dogs there the day I took the photo.

USAF yes; Debach no.
Constructed 1942/3 and in service until summer 1945, it is one of just a few stations which was associated with a single Eighth Air Force unit for the whole of its operational period.
The light-coloured structures are associated with its current usage. The hangar visible on the right hand side is one of two T2 types which were erected when the airfield was constructed and is no longer associated with aviation. The rusty-looking shed on the left houses one of the currently resident aircraft.
